The mission of CFI is to develop a community of respectful, life long learners, who use inquiry, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, to be socially responsible contributors to a changing global society.   

CFI's Christine Collier was named Indiana's 2010 Elementary Principal of the Year!  Ms. Collier was  recognized as a National Distinguished Principal at an awards ceremony in Washington, D. C. in October 2011. Congratulations, Ms. Collier!!

CFI at Schools #2 and #84 made Adequate Yearly Progress in 2011!  CFI has made Adequate Yearly Progress each year since its inception, and we're so proud of our terrific students and teachers.

 

CFI at School #2 has received the following national recognition:

2009 National Blue Ribbon Award 

2010-2011 and 2008-09 Magnet School of Excellence Recipient

2009-2010 and 2007-08 Magnet School of Distinction Recipient

2000 Exemplary Reading Program Award Recipient 

CFI at School #84 has received the following national recognition:

2011 Dr. Donald R. Waldrip Elementary School of Excellence Award presented by the Magnet Schools of America

IPS is currently accepting magnet school applications for the 2012-2013 school year.  Please click here to access the application.  Families who apply before December 15 are in the first round of the lottery and receive letters regarding school assignments from the IPS Office of Student Assignment in February.
